My experience in university has been a roller coaster, with a lot of ups and downs. Indeed, I can say now by looking back at the time I spent working and studying in my university that I have learnt much more than what I have signed up for.
The university life have taught me how to deal and work with strangers, how to be very patient when things doesn’t go the way you want them to, it taught me how to pull myself together when everything seem to be collapsing. I have learnt that neither the grades nor what people think of you matters, what really matters is what you think of yourself and what you believe you can do. At the end of the day, all what matters is you!
As part of my degree, I had to work with many students, I have realised that many of which will enjoy a free-ride to earn a grade that they don’t deserve, a grade which is based completely of your work and effort as a team-member. It doesn’t sound fair at first but it had opened my eyes to the fact that sometimes life will throw things at us and all we have to do is stand strong and continue doing what makes us move one step closer to achieving our goals, and in order to succeed we have to eliminate these distractions from blocking our way.
My personality have completely changed since the day I have joined the university, I believe it helped me to be the person I am today, a strong, independent individual who is able to speak out, say my opinion freely regardless whom might be standing in front of me.
I am truly grateful for everyone who stood by my side throughout those four years in university, it has been a great experience and I am looking forward to start the next chapter of this book.
What is the most valuable thing you have learnt from your journey in university ? And if you were to re-do one thing what would it be?
